Police in Lusaka have apprehended Founder Sianyezu, aged 28, in connection with the murder of his girlfriend, Exildah Mwape, aged 26.
On November 19, 2025, around 09:00 hours, Woodlands Police Station received a report from the suspect stating that his girlfriend was unconscious at his house along Nyatwa Road in Chilenje. Officers rushed to the scene and found the victim lying lifeless on the floor with stab wounds on her body.
Preliminary investigations show that the two were in an intimate relationship.
On November 18, 2025, around 05:00 hours, a dispute arose involving mobile money transactions and communication between the suspect and his wife. During the altercation, the suspect allegedly stabbed her.
He later went to work, returned home around 22:00 hours, and spent the night in the same room with the body.
The body has been deposited at the University Teaching Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmortem, and the suspect is in custody.
