BY: EDWARD NSAMA
kapiri mposhi Town Council chairperson Brilliant MUNYEKE has offered himself as a parliamentary candidate if kapiri mposhi constituency will be delimited following the passing of Bill 7 and subsequent assent to by president Hakainde Hichilema.
Mr. MUNYEKE praised parliamentarians for anonymously voting for the controversial bill 7 saying kapiri mposhi constituency stands to benefit from the Constituency development funds CDF which will now be more than K40,000,000 as increased in the national budget for 2026.
He said he has decided to run for Parliament owing to the experience he has as council chairperson and he knows what electorates want in all the wards.
Mr. MUNYEKE said the constituency is too vast to have one member of Parliament and he is happy that once the delimitation is done Kapiri mposhi district will see massive development and people will be able to feel the impact and have enough share of CDF.
He said he is the solution to the challenges people are facing and if voted into office he will deliver to the expectations of the people.
Mr. MUNYEKE was speaking in an interview with KBC news.
