The Constitutional Court has quashed an application seeking to block Speaker of the National Assembly Nelly Mutti’s decision to declare the Chawama parliamentary seat vacant.
Constitutional lawyer Tresford Chali had petitioned the court to issue an injunction stopping the Speaker’s declaration regarding the seat previously held by Tasila Lungu.
However, the court ruled against granting the stay.
