Kapiri Mposhi Christian Minister’s Fellowship district chairperson Pastor Kangwa Chikwanda has implored on the clergy in the region to be principled.
And Pastor Chikwanda challenged the Christian community to value and honour their own men of God as opposed to demonizing them.
Pastor Chikwanda noted with sadness that many faithfuls in Zambia tend to take pleasure glorifying foreign clergymen and dehumanizing their very own which he said should come to an end.
He was speaking during the induction of Reverened Evaristo Mulenga as minister incharge of Kapiri Mposhi’s Pentecostal Assemblies Of God Lighthouse church.
Lighthouse church elder Joseph Sikatali thanked the guest of honour the District Commissioner Francis Hasalama who was however represented by District Education Board Secretary Mooya Nyanga for attending the event.
Elder Sikatali praised government for its continued partnership with the church in various endeavours.
At the same function, Home and Foreign Missions Director Reverened Christopher Mukwavi challenged the newly installed senior minister incharge to guard against any form of temptation that would easily tarnish the image of the church.
Reverened Mukwavi implored other servants of God to be religious leaders of influence and uphold integrity at all times.
And earlier in an interview with the newly installed servant of God Reverened Mulenga pledged to bring about positive behavioural change and to impact lives in different communities.
