Farmers in Kapiri Mposhi have called for a favourable maize floor price this crop marketing season.
The small sale farmers drawn from different parts of the district say it will be imperative that the maize floor price is set K400 and above per a 50 by kilogramme bag of maize.
The farmers pointed out that government must understand that farming is a business venture.
Farmers stated that factors of the high cost of production and inputs must be taken into account.
