Former Kapiri Mposhi Pastor’s District Fellowship Chairperson Bishop Japhet Msoni has voiced out on the summoning of Archbishop Alick Banda by the Drug Enforcement Commission DEC over the seized government assets found in his possession.
Bishop Msoni has stated that it will be only justifiable if the summoning of the said catholic priest is detached from any political interference.
Bishop Msoni is of the view that in a democratic dispensation should one be summoned it must be purely based on legal affairs away from being politically motivated.
He noted that if Archbishop Alick Banda indeed went against the law then he must face the legal consequences.
The clergy only hopes this matter is not being aligned to political attachment especially that Archbishop Alick Banda was seemingly favoured by the former late president Edgar Lungu.
He made the remarks in an interview with KBC news.
