The Kapiri Mposhi Town Council has responded to growing public concerns over the silence surrounding the missing funds amounting to K4.6 million and K700,000.
Town Council Secretary Collins Ndilema stated that the matter is currently under investigation by law enforcement agencies.
In an interview Mr. Ndilema clarified that the local authority does not have jurisdiction over the case, and all matters related to the missing funds are being handled by the relevant authorities.
He emphasized that the matter has not been swept under the carpet and that the council is cooperating with the investigation.
