A farmer has died in Kapiri Mposhi after lightning struck him just as it was about to rain.
Area community leader Emmanuel Kapembwa of Ntasa area confirmed the incident which occurred on December 4, 2025.
He explained that lightning struck the farmer including his oxen who has been identified as Patrick Maumbi in his thirties whilst in the field and died on the spot.
He narrates that by the time the said farmer was rushed to Chibwe rural health facility it was rather too late as he was pronounced dead.
