Mary, daughter of a local landlord in Kapiri Mposhi, is at large after allegedly killing 48-year-old tenant Mwila Chikoti over house rentals.
The incident occurred on January 29, 2026, around 20:00hrs, at a house in Soweto ‘A’ compound.
Reports indicate Mary, in her twenties, used a brick to hit Mr Chikoti on the head and a stool to strike him on the ribs.
Mr. Chikoti died from fractured ribs and other injuries after hospitalization.
Teddy Chikoti, the deceased’s brother, confirmed the incident and expressed confidence that police will ensure justice.
