Chama North’s MP, Yotam Mtayachalo, is sounding the alarm again – this time over the voter‑registration rollout.
He says the process of issuing NRCs has become chaotic and ill‑suited to rural districts like Chama, and he’s urging the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) and the Department of National Registration to sort out the logistical mess ASAP.
Mr Mtayachalo wants the 2026 elections to run on a foundation of transparency, freedom, fairness and credibility, and he’s not shy about calling for urgent action to make that happen.
Mr Mtayachalo was elected MP for Chama North in 2021 and serves on several parliamentary committees.
