Police in Lusaka have launched a manhunt for a 34-year-old man accused of stabbing his wife and fleeing with their two-year-old daughter in Lusaka’s Chalala area.
According to Police Public Relations Officer Godfrey Chilabi, Fredrick Zulu of Chalala is wanted in connection with the unlawful wounding of his 30-year-old wife.
Police say the incident happened on February 16, 2026, around 22:00 hours, when the suspect allegedly stabbed his wife in the abdomen.
Police officers responded to the report and, with help from neighbours, rushed the victim to Chilenje Level One Hospital, where she is receiving treatment. Her condition is reported to be stable.
After the incident, the suspect allegedly fled the scene with the couple’s two-year-old daughter.
