Socialist Party welcomes new members, reaffirms people‑centred agenda
The opposition Socialist Party said on Thursday that it is “humbled” by the growing number of Zambians eager to join its ranks, describing the influx as a vote of confidence in its vision of justice, equality and real transformation.
Party officials said in a press statement that many citizens and community leaders have expressed a desire to become members in recent months.
“This support reminds us why the party was founded—to serve workers, farmers, youths, women and every Zambian who deserves dignity, fairness and a share in the nation’s prosperity,” the statement reads.
The party, which describes itself as people‑centred and open to all, pledged to provide every committed citizen with “space, respect and purpose.” It invited anyone who shares its values of honesty, solidarity and the genuine interests of the people to join the effort to build a Zambia “where no one is forgotten and every voice matters.”
