Youths in Kapiri Mposhi have been urged to steer clear away from social ills like substance and alcohol abuse. Sergeant Chaplain Mwangalaba Mable of the Zambia Police emphasized the importance of young people taking charge of their lives and bettering themselves.
During the youth day commemoration at Lukanda school ground, District Commissioner Francis Hasalama highlighted the government’s support for youths, citing their potential to drive economic development through their talents.
Hasalama encouraged youths to innovate and transform the country economically, while also utilizing CDF programs to enhance their skills.
Youth Organizing Committee chairperson Stavy Mwanankuwa stressed the importance of young people knowing their human rights to claim equitable opportunities. Mwanankuwa noted that many Zambian youths feel neglected, and urged them to be productive and innovative to stimulate economic growth.
