Zambia National Students’ Union –ZANASU- President, Innocent Nshindano, has urged stakeholders to urgently come on board and help address the sanitation challenges affecting institutions of higher learning across the country.
This follows government’s release of K23 million to address the growing concerns over deteriorating sanitary conditions at the University of Zambia -UNZA- where students protested over poor sanitation.
Mr. Nshindano notes that the steady increase in student enrolment at the highest institution of learning in the country has put significant pressure on existing facilities, making it difficult to maintain adequate sanitation standards.
In a statement to KBC news, he emphasized the need for a collective approach, calling on alumni, private sector players, government, and other stakeholders to support ongoing initiatives.
