KAPIRI WILL BE REVIVED – HELLEN LUNGU

by | Apr 13, 2026 | POLITICAL NEWS | 0 comments

Socialist Party Kapiri Mposhi Aspiring MP, Hellen Lungu has Charged that 62 years of independence, it’s saddening to see how Kapiri-Mposhi has lagged behind in key development sectors.

KAPIRI needs a new leadership crop with fresh ideas and decisive actions. Infrastructure development is key if we want meaningful change in our people’s lives.

Kapiri’s central location links Muchinga Province,Luapula and Northern Province on one side, Copperbelt Province and Northwest Province on another, and Lusaka Province on the other. This strategic location can make Kapiri Zambia’s trading hub.

With the right leadership, buying and selling goods and services should thrive in Kapiri. We should have many manufacturing industries by now if our leaders had a clear vision for Kapiri. This would’ve created jobs for our youth. Let’s engage companies like Trade Kings to set up a manufacturing plant here.

Ms Lungu Said Farming drives Zambia’s economy, and Kapiri plays a major role in commercial and subsistence farming. She says Once Elected Mp in August she will prioritize Empowering farmers so as to create opportunities and jobs for the young people in the District and nearby.

She has further charged that, The hospitality business is being overlooked. Kapiri should have top-notch hotels and lodges. Imagine the business people passing through daily – what if Kapiri became a trading center? Goods and services could be sourced locally, changing everything.

She has reminded Kapiri residents that,: “KAPIRI IS NOT JUST A STATION, KAPIRI IS A DESTINATION”.
