Aspiring Kapiri Mposhi constituency Member of Parliament on the Socialist party ticket, Hellen Lungu has lashed out at the ruling UPND local leaders for blocking her from giving a speech at the funeral of a prominent community member a Mr Kasamba in Kashitu area.
In a telephone interview with KBC news, Ms Lungu wonders as to why she was barred from delivering a farewell speech by virtue of her political status when it was meant for the deceased.
Ms Lungu is saddened and expressed disappointment by some ruling UPND members led by a Mr Kamanga for what she has described an unacceptable and unfortunate.
She has also admonished the said suspected UPND team to morally distinguish politics from matters of the community and bordering on the social wellbeing of the people.
She has further questioned the behavior exhibited by the very UPND leadership team for failing to lead by example the true leadership attributes which society expects from them.
