2026 ASPIRING KAPIRI MPOSHI EAST MP HAKALUMBWE ATTRIBUTES MASSIVE WAVE OF DEFECTIONS TO UPND WALKING THE TALK.

2026 Aspiring Kapiri Mposhi East Constituency Member of Parliament Sameman Hakalumbwe has attributed the massive wave of defections to the ruling UPND to the sound fiscal policies which the new dawn administration has engineered and implemented ever since it assumed office in 2021.
In an interview with KBC news, Mr Hakalumbwe has charged that the defections of different political party figures shouldn’t be downlooked as it signifies the clear vision that President Hakainde Hichilema carries hence this political dimension.
The Kapiri Mposhi Parliamentary hopeful has also further extended an olive branch to all those still pondering on joining the UPND, assuring that they are welcome adding that the ruling party will not in any way mock new members because the said governing party exercises tolerance to every Zambian.
Mr Hakalumbwe cited the achievements scored by the new dawn administration such as the free education policy, the consistency in the increase of CDF and the enhanced Social Protection programmes aimed at uplifting the wellbeing of the underprivileged communities.
He added that the continued defections no doubt implies how the UPND has grown in its popularity.
